Dear Parents/Carers

RESIDENTIAL TRIP TO FRANCE 2019

We are trying to gauge the level of interest, from you and your child, for the next Year 5/6 residential trip, due to take place March 2019.

Having taken the children to London last year, we decided that it didn’t fulfil all the criteria that we as a school are looking for in a residential trip. Therefore we have once again decided to take our residential trip to France using PGL, a firm that we are confident in using, that has proved reliable and safe for us for many years. During our stay in France, the children will experience a variety of exciting activities. We are based in a PGL Chateau just outside of Paris. Sightseeing around Paris, a town trail, archery, trapeze, camp fire, Disney and the opportunity to speak French are but a few of the opportunities the children will have on this trip.

The cost of this trip will be in the region of £400, which will include everything apart from spending money. A payment card will be issued so that you can pay in instalments, hopefully making the cost more manageable and there will be discount for pupil premium children. We are hoping that by organising this trip early you will have plenty of time to pay for the trip without it being unmanageable.

We feel that this trip is the culmination of our extensive residential program, an experience that our children truly gain much from, both educationally and developmentally. An experience they will remember well into the future.

We have made a provisional booking and would like to assess how many children in the present Year 4 and 5 age groups, who will be our Year 5 and 6 children in 2019, would be interested in going. We will hold a brief meeting on Tuesday, 24 April 2018 at 3.15 pm to answer any questions you may have.

Please fill in the return slip on the letter sent home to indicate your intention and return to the school by Tuesday 24 April 2018.

Many thanks.

Yours sincerely
