The half term has been great! We have managed to fit so much in and it’s felt so nice to be back to having visitors in and going out on trips.
We have had visits from 2 archeologists to tell us all abut their digs and what has been found, one local study and another from digs in Cyprus. We managed a trip to Dorchester on the train to see the Roman ruins and Town House; a trip to the pavilion; we learnt what it was like to be a Roman slave and about gladiators fighting at the Colosseum; we learnt some more basketball skills with Max and made circuits in Science. So many exciting things.
Today we made posters of everything we had learnt about the Romans this term. In the afternoon we presented them to the Year 3’s who, in turn, told us all they had learnt about the Stone Age this half-term.
The new wall and door between year 3 and 4 is going up nicely. It now just needs plastering and painting, over the holidays, ready for our return to normal on Monday.
Finally, well done to Hamish for earning Star Learner this week and Phoebe for earning the Resilience award.
See you all after half term.
