Where to start, we have had such an action packed day. We started with an amazing breakfast of cereal and scrambled egg, bacon, hash browns and toast. With the children full we proceeded to our first activity. We split into two groups with one orienteering around the site and the other abseiling down a 100ft cliff! Both groups did amazingly well overcoming fears and supporting their classmates and adults. We are so proud of each and every one of them! We returned to the centre for a lunch of pasties/sausage rolls, crisps and fruit. In the afternoon came the main event of bodyboarding! It was a sweaty struggle to get 28 children into wetsuits but with the deed done we headed to the beach. Everyone had such an amazing time in the water; once they were in they didn’t come out again until we had to. We headed back to the centre for showers and our BBQ, salad and wedges. Dessert consisted of an early Birthday cake for Jude and ice cream. We ended the day with a cliff top fire, award ceremony and reminisced on our favourite events of the weekend. We played games, roasted marshmallows, danced at the disco in the kitchen and watched the sunset. The children have finally gone to bed very weary after a full on day! Lots of memories have been made and fun with friends.
You should all be incredibly proud of your children, we certainly are! Thank you for all your comments on the post yesterday.
