Year Two’s topic is all around the world

To coincide with Fair-trade Fortnight, they have been learning about how chocolate is made from a bean to a bar. They tried a range of different chocolates and described them using their senses. We enjoyed tasting the different chocolates but our favourite was definitely white chocolate. A few of us preferred the dark chocolate but not the 85% Cocoa bar, which tasted sour. We found out that white chocolate is made from Cocoa butter. Dark chocolate and milk chocolate are made in a similar way but heated at different temperatures.
