Year 3 have had a busy term doing weekly tennis sessions and learning about Vikings. During the second half of the Autumn term they went on a walk along the Ridgeway with Senior Archaeologist Steve Wallis to show them where the ‘Pit of Doom’ was discovered, and to show the class various other Viking settlement features. Here is what the class have had to say about their busy term –
We saw lots of barrows. It was cool. In the barrows are dead bodies. The tools they used in the stone age were sticks and stones (Riley).
We saw Bincombe bumps and the White Horse. We saw lots of barrows and went on top of a barrow. (Olivia)
We learned about the lines in tennis. We played a game called Cross the river (Isaac)
