On Thursday 25th April Year 4 went to Shire Hall, in Dorchester, to learn about British Values and crime, punishment and the justice system in the 1800s. While they were there they learnt about 2 boys who had committed crimes, what those crimes were and how and what the justice system did to them. Elijah Upjohn was sent to Australia for a string of offences while Harry Parker was sent to a reformatory school. The class also got to visit the cells where the boys would have awaited trial, stand in the docks and make toys from the time.
